Founded by Peter Olans, a 25 year veteran of the New York commercial real estate market having worked at firms such as CB Richard Ellis, Grubb & Ellis and the Staubach Company (Jones Lang LaSalle); Trident Commercial Realty is a tenant representation firm providing unbiased real estate advocacy services to organizations and corporate entities. The vision and mission of the company can best be summed up with the following credo: "to offer an unwavering commitment to putting the needs of the client first and foremost in the real estate process and fill a vacuum in the industry in providing professional, personalized service on a senior level to tenants/users in the marketplace."
Since we do not derive any income from representing landlords either as a property manager or leasing agent, Trident can push harder in negotiations with landlords compared to other brokers who represent tenants but who have landlords as their clients. The essential question for a tenant has always been, how can a tenant expect a broker to be his advocate if the landlord is also his client?
Without having to straddle the inherent conflicts of interest that arise with dual agency real estate firms, Trident is able to focus on the financial, functional and operational needs of its clients without being beholden to landlords. Our goal as a company is to objectively evaluate the needs of our clients given their business goals and help them execute a real estate plan that satisfies their short and long-term business objectives.
